IDEAlliance hosted a joint meeting of the IDEAlliance eMedia21 Publishers Forum Ghent Work Group on October 6th. The goal of the joint meeting was to seek input and participation by GWG members in two key IDEAlliance initiatives.The first initiative is to pilot test the new IDEAlliance Ad Insertion Order Confirmation Specification. During this meeting, the publishers who developed this XMP specification, designed to expedite the billing cycle for advertising materials worked with the ad portal vendors from GWG, to develop a pilot test plan.

This year's XML Conference, eMedia Revolution, to be held October 13-15 in Philadelphia at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, focuses on eMedia Publishing and XML Foundations. In addition to visionary keynotes, comprehensive conference track will enable attendees to discover how to reinvent their workflows and distribution models to support multi-channel content distribution. This year, for the first time, the first day of the conference (October 14) will be webcast live.

Here’s a quick update on what’s going on with GRACoL. 1. THE G7 SUMMIT will be held October 3-6, 2010 at GRAPHEXPO in Chicago.  This year’s summit will have programs for experienced users as well as new adoptees and those just looking for basic information. Many of the programs will include hands-on components using live equipment on the show floor. Watch this page for more information as it becomes available.

IDEAlliance today announces the Keynote Presentations for its annual XML Conference to be held October 13-15 in Philadelphia at the Crowne Plaza Hotel. This year's conference, eMedia Revolution focuses on eMedia Publishing and XML Foundations, Applications and Interoperability. Keynoting this years conference are Joshua Quittner former editor of Time Inc.'s Business 2.0, executive editor at Fortune Magazine and the tablet evangelist for Time Magazine.

IDEAlliance today announces that it has posted the DRAFT of the most significant redefinition of the MailXML Specification to date! The final MailXML 9.0 Specification will follow later this year and will serve as the basis for major automation efforts across the mailing industry.
