Deadline: April 28, 2017 — To be presented at 2017 Franklin Luminaire Awards event, October 2017
Alexandria, VA. (Mar. 22, 2017)?Idealliance and Print Industries Alliance are now accepting nominations for The Innovation Excellence Award and John Peter Zenger Medal, to be presented at the Franklin Luminaire Awards event on October 18, 2017, at The Lighthouse, Chelsea Piers, New York City, before an expected audience of more than 400 media professionals.
The Innovation Excellence Award is granted to a company or individual in graphic communications that is pioneering, pacesetting, and advancing new technologies. The recipient will be chosen by the Franklin Luminaire Committee. The nominee must be a company or individual within the graphic communications and media industries who has demonstrated, in a clear and convincing way, an innovative technology, workflow, product, or service used in media creation, production, and distribution that is first-of-its-kind and in use for 12 months or more.
“The Innovation Excellence Award is an outstanding opportunity to showcase cutting edge technology and ideas in front of over 400 leading executives in the graphic communications arena, says Steve Drew, Sales Executive, Magazine Group, LSC Communications, and Co-Chair of the Franklin Luminaire Committee. “Last year’s honorees, think: Inkjet Networking and Knowledge Community, Dianne Kennedy of Idealliance, and Paul Nowak of QuadPackaging, epitomized the innovative and creative spirit captured in this award. We are looking for an equally deserving slate of nominees in 2017.” Innovation Excellence Award nominations may be made at www.idealliance.org/innovation-excellence-award.
The John Peter Zenger “Community Service” Medal is awarded to an individual employed in the graphic communications industry who has exhibited exemplary character in the form of selfless courage, charity, activism, philanthropy, or military service. The recipient will be selected by the Franklin Luminaire Committee and a $1,000 contribution will be made to the 2017 Zenger honoree’s charity of choice.
“The Zenger Medal honors those in our industry who inspire us to be more than we are and make not just our industry, but our communities a better place to live. Past Zenger Medal recipients have come from all walks of life, making this recognition in a sense a true ‘unsung hero’ award,” says Meghan Milkowski, President, The Hill Extra, and Co-Chair of the Franklin Luminaire Committee.
