Are We Selling What Our
Customers Are Buying?
Understand and develop the relationship between you and your clients at the 8th Annual IPA Business Development Conference, which will be held January 24-26, 2008, at the Camelback Inn in Scottsdale, Arizona. The conference will focus on the role of the client, the critical participant in the business development process. Among the clients who will be serving on panels are representatives from Procter & Gamble, Dial Corporation, Kraft Foods, Monrovia Nursery Company and American Century Investments. Watch your email Thursday for more information.
IPA Resource Focuses On Solution Selling
IPA is introducing a new program for sales managers and business owners that describes the steps of the consultative sale and offers a process for implementing Solution Selling into a graphics solutions provider’s sales organization. This program is focused entirely on graphic communications and is not the usual, basic selling. Watch for more information within the next few weeks.
Does Your Compensation Plan Measure Up?
Job classifications and descriptions for the graphic communications industry have changed significantly over the past 20 years, resulting in a gradual modification of compensation plans. For most companies, employee compensation and benefits are the greatest expense. Yet, managers—as they look at attracting and retaining quality personnel—often wonder if their compensation plans are inline with industry trends. To help members address these concerns, IPA has contracted with Industry Insights to conduct an in-depth compensation study. Request Info on Participating
IPA Case Study Focuses On e-LEAN® in Packaging The second in IPA’s new case study program focuses on Professional Image, Tulsa, Oklahoma, and how they are implementing IPA’s e-LEAN program to improve their workflow efficiencies.
Tim Gustafson, prepress and press manager, says that as the company grew, workflow and work processes had also developed in an evolutionary manner over time. “It seems like we had many different ways of doing the same thing. We knew we needed to do something to make our operations more efficient if we were going to continue to grow.” More
